Full Stringer Lodge

The room was very nice and clean. You get a code emailed to you for the door and you don't have to check in or out. The coffee shop doesn't open until 7. The first night there were two K cups, a very good cookie and a scone in the room. The second night there was a bad hanging on the door with two cookies but only one K cup. The did not clean the room or bring fresh towels. Mattress was very comfortable Will stay again.

My Wife and I went down to Matagorda for a flounder gigging trip and stayed at the lodge 2 nights. This was place was perfect! The property was very clean and the rooms were very nice. Really like the 2 story deck and fireplaces. Cassady's next door was amazing for breakfast and lunch. Wide variety on the menu and the coffee was great too. This place is a step above the others in Matagorda.

Spent the weekend at full stringer lodge. Very enjoyable and restful place. Clean property and well maintained. Added bonus Cassady’s coffee shop and cafe on grounds! Would recommend you check this out! Staff very nice and helpful. Food was excellent!

Loved the location and accommodations. The lodge has quiet hours from 10pm - 7am. Most nights were fine, but one night out of the stay, other guests were a little loud hanging out on the porch/fireplace group area. Would definitely stay again, but would select a room at the other end, away from the gathering area!

This was our third time staying here. We've visited the other places in Matagorda, but this is our favorite. The rooms are much nicer than would be expected for the price, and Cassidy's next door makes amazing food! Highly recommend.

This is such a beautiful quiet place to stay! Hubby and I came into town for the annual boat parade. We were in the pelican room and had a very lovely card and fresh baked cookies in our room upon arrival. Our room actually opened up to the deck with a fireplace which is very nice for lounging outside. We did have breakfast at the coffee bar located on site and my caramel latte was amazing! We had two waffle sandwiches and they were very yummy. The restaurant is so nice and inviting and our server was so sweet! We can’t wait to come back here again.

Rooms smelled and looked clean. All the linen you could tell was fresh. This entire establishment is beautifully kept. It was our first time staying at the lodge but it will not be our last. All throughout our stay we had goodies at our door from the Cafe. The cookies and scones are to die for. We got up early this morning and decided to go down for breakfast and coffee. This cafe had nothing but warm friendly smiles and great service. Susan was such a delight to talk to and she made our visit that much better. Susan's personality and beautiful smile just lit up the room and reminded me of my grandmother. Everyone was professional! The prices were great and the breakfast was amazing. The kitchen was clean and neat. The menu has a good selection and it will not disappoint. I am sad that we did not go there for all of our meals. Next time we definitely will! This gives me the "home time feel". Great decor as well!!!!!

Thank you FSL in Mata-get down-gorda. We very much enjoyed the stay in Loons Landing (rm6) at Full Stringer Lodge. It was the perfect place to retreat to after a long day on the beach or the water. There were fresh baked cookies waiting for us when we arrived, which were some of the best I’ve ever had. And more cookies, waiting for us the next day at the doorstep. The café, their food and coffee were all top-notch We will definitely be coming back and stayingthere soon.
